Tom and Carrie Chown have been breeding quarter horses for nearly 20 years beginning with the legendary late
Hotrodders Jet Set. Tom and Carrie purchased Hotrodders Jet Set when few people considered breeding horses for the primary
interest on western pleasure. Their hope was that if Hotrodder's offspring were half as talented as he was they could train them to
do most anything. Not only was Hotrodder a successful show horse he proved to be an outstanding sire as well before his
untimely death. Hotrodders Jet Set was inducted to the NSBA Hall of Fame in 1993.
The Chowns have been associated with several outstanding stallions including Cheyanne Venture,
an AQHA champion, Radical Rodder, bred raised and trained, Don’t Skip Zip, Triples, and Protect Your Assets, but now Green With
Invy has caught their eye. Sired by World Champion Sire Invitation Only, they saw something special about this one. Green With Invy is a
point earner in four events. With three very successful breeding seasons under his belt we are very excited
about the future of his offspring.
Tom & Carrie also stand, Hot Impulse, he has already made his mark in the show arena winning the World Championship in Western Riding and a
Superior in western pleasure along with Top Ten placings at both the Congress and World. Now his offspring are following
in his footsteps. With a limited number of foals Hot Impulse has sired futurity champions in halter,
hunter under saddle, western pleasure and western riding. 2004 was an outstanding year for his offspring with them winning futurities from
coast to coast and "Hot and Graceful" being named Champion in the 2 Yr Old Limited Western Pleasure at the 2004 Quarter Horse Congress
ridden by Jennifer Leis and owned by JR Reichert and Carl Yamber.
